Library closure

NORTHALLERTON library will be closed on June 14 and 15 for essential building maintenance. It will reopen on June 16. Loan periods have been adjusted so no borrowed items will be due for return on the days when the library is closed and arrangements have been made to cover home library service deliveries.

Police tractor

RICHMOND CE Primary School will be one of five schools in the county to receive a visit from North Yorkshire Police’s tractor - named “Bobby” following a co,petition organised by officers.

Pub quiz

A QUIZ night in aid of Thirsk Community First Responders is taking place at the Red Bear pub on Thirsk Market Place on June 3. Teams of four people are welcome at £2 per person and it starts at 7pm.

Art showcase

TWELVE artists will be showcasing their work at the village hall in Lockton over the next two weekends. Lockton Artists Open Studios aims to showcase the work of an growing community of practising artists and designers living and working in or near the village. Moors buses

MOORSBUS, the bus service to and through the North York Moors, has restarted for the summer. Buses will run until September 30 on routes planned by the Moorsbus Community Interest Company. For timetables, go to moorsbus.org or libraries and information centres.
