A STUDENT who is mastering a form of Tibetan symbolic art will have a collection of his work put on exhibition.
Adam Plumb, 17, has been studying Thangka for three years after he made a trip to the Netherlands on a George Logie grant.
He took a short course during his visit and decided to carry on his progress with a teacher when he returned to the UK.
In his first large collection, the first-year A-level student will be having his work displayed in Darlington Town Hall until July 6.
“I’m pretty excited," he said. "The Town Hall is a public building with a lot of people so hopefully they will stop to look at it.”
The teenager's exhibition is part of this year’s Darlington Arts Festival, where he had small pieces displayed two years ago.
He said: “This time I wanted to show the work I’ve done. There will be some old stuff and some new stuff.
“It’s been a bit tight for me and a bit stressful, but when it all comes together I know it will feel like I’ve achieved something.”
