VEHICLES of every vintage roared back into a North-East town from across the country for a rally celebrating automobiles of every shape, size and model.
A variety of rare and unusual vehicles, including cars, buses, motorcycles and bicycles, were all on show in Darlington for an annual Vintage Vehicle Rally on Sunday.
Hundreds of petrolheads and engine enthusiasts gathered for the annual display rally held on the Head of Steam railway museum's event field, in the Hopetown area of Darlington.
A range of family entertainment, including juggling and balloon modelling, arts and crafts and miniature train rides, were also on offer throughout the event.
Leona White-Hannant, manager curator at the Head of Steam railway museum, said: “Our Vintage Vehicle Rally is one of the highlights of the year here at Head of Steam and always proves to be popular with visitors of all ages."
She added: "As well as the chance to see a great array of vintage vehicles, there is also the opportunity to explore the museum.”
Vehicle exhibitors were given free entry to the museum, off Station Road, during the day.
