SCENE: Heron Foods, on Newgate Street, Bishop Auckland
DETECTIVES are investigating an attempted burglary in which someone tried to steal a cash machine from a town centre shop.
An attempt was made to take ATM from inside Heron Foods, on Newgate Street, Bishop Auckland, on Saturday afternoon.
Police are now appealing for information about the incident which occurred at around 12.55pm.
Anyone that can helped is asked to call PC Burnett or PC Winter at Bishop Auckland CID on 101, quoting incident DHM-12052018-0213.
