A MAN who warned his former partner that he would "make sure she will lose everything" has been handed a restraining order after trying to climb through her window.
Jamie Lawson, of Green Crescent, in Coxhoe, County Durham, rang his ex-partner more than 70 times in 24 hours.
He also sent her a series of abusive voicemails and text messages and made a new Facebook account to try and contact her.
As well as pleading guilty to a charge of harassment without violence, the 29-year-old admitted two charges of obstructing or resisting a police officer.
Claire Irvin, prosecuting, said Lawson had made the victim feel "isolated from family" as well as depressed.
Dave Malone, mitigating, said the "penny had dropped" with Lawson and he now wanted to "draw a line under the relationship".
Lawson was given a 12-month restraining order and a 12-month community order, and was also ordered to pay £200 compensation, £85 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.
