JOURNALIST and charity campaigner Anne Diamond will host an annual ladies lunch in the region this summer.
The 36th North-East Ladies Day annual luncheon will be held at Hardwick Hall, Sedgefield, on Wednesday, September 26.
Each year, the luncheon raises funds for charities in the region and this year will support JPC Community Farm, Neoangels and We Can Dance. They have raised almost £300,000 since 1983.
Ms Diamond has been a household name for the past 30 years working in television, radio and national newspapers and campaign about education on cot death, hearing loss and obesity.
Susan Andrews, chair of North East Ladies Day, said: “She has campaigned to save thousands of babies for over 25 years and we know she is the perfect fit for our charitable event.”
The event will include a three-course lunch, more than 20 stalls and Ms Diamond’s address entitled ‘Never turn down an adventure’.
Tickets are £48 at northeastladiesday.co.uk
