SCHOOLS in County Durham will be shut on Friday because of bad weather.
Durham Trinity School, in Durham city, Evergreen Primary School, in Bishop Auckland, and the Oaks Secondary School, in Spennymoor, are both closed because of snow and ice.
Durham County Council says drives and paths are unsafe for school transport.
Castleside Primary School, in Consett, will also be closed today because of a water leak.
