A MAN is alleged to have driven away from the scene of a crash in which hundreds of pounds of damage was caused to a parked car.
Officers have released a CCTV image of the suspect in a bid to identify him and have appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.
At around 11.10pm on Thursday, October 26 last year, a Ford car collided with a parked red Suzuki Alto on Worcester Place, in Bishop Auckland.
The man is described as white and of large build. His car collided with the stationary car, and he then drove around the corner, got out of his vehicle and checked the damage to his own car before making off.
The damage caused cost the victim more than £500.
PC Damien Stevens, from Durham police, said: “We are appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious or may be able to identify the male pictured.”
