A CAR smashed through a barrier and rolled on to its roof on a popular beach.
The white Hyundai landed on Grand Parade on Longsands beach in Tynemouth, Tyne and Wear, but it is believed nobody was in the vehicle at the time.
Northumbria Police said there had been no injuries and the fire service were at the scene.

A police statement said: "At around 10.15am police received a report that a car had gone through a barrier and landed on its roof on Grand Parade in Tynemouth.
"Nobody was believed to be in the vehicle at the time of the incident and nobody has been injured."
