A SERIES of church services will he held in Upper Weardale to celebrate Christmas.
On Christmas Eve, Heather Ross and Greg Round will lead a children’s Crib Service in St John’s Chapel at 5pm, with parents and grandparents welcome too.
Over in Eastgate, a family service will be held in All Saints Church at 7pm. The service will feature carols and a short performance by local children. There will also be Communion and refreshments will be served.
Back in St John the Baptist Church in St John’s Chapel, at 11pm, a Christmas Eucharist service will be held, including carols and communion. The service will be led by Mr Round and Mrs Ross.
On Christmas Day, services will take place at High House Methodist Chapel in Ireshopeburn at 9.30am led by Deacon Sue Peat, and St Thomas Church in Heatherycleugh at 10am led by Arthur Bell.
