VINTAGE motorcycles and modern superbikes were on display at an open motorcycle show yesterday.
The event, the first of its kind organised by the Thermals and Vests Motorcycle Club, was held in Shildon, County Durham, and attracted bike fans from across the North-East.
More than £350 was raised for the Great North Air Ambulance.
The event, at the Elm Road Workingmen's Club, also gave bikers the chance to catch up and compare machines, as well as pose for photographs.
Stand-out bikes included a classic BSA Goldstar and a Fifties Moto Morini. Organiser Colin Graham said: "It has been a success and it is definitely in our diary for future years now."
Mr Graham thanked everyone who supported the event, particularly Shildon Scooter Club.
The show was the idea of club steward Phil Hall. A disco, also in aid of the air ambulance, will take place at the club on August 5. It will feature local rock band FM and start from 7pm.
