A CUSTOMER survey has found passengers are satisfied with the running of a park-and-ride scheme.
Durham’s park-and-ride scheme operates from three sites, with services bringing passengers into the city centre six days a week.
A customer satisfaction survey carried out for operators Durham County Council found 99 per cent of travellers rated the service as good or very good and a similar number thought the fares were good value or about right.
Cllr Carl Marshall said: “It’s wonderful to know that so many commuters are happy with our park and ride scheme, and we’ll continue to deliver the best service possible by routinely asking for customer feedback.
“These results are particularly welcome as we near the start of Lumiere, as due to the popularity of the festival our park and ride service will be the best option for most people coming to the event”.
