ADULT learners in North Yorkshire's remote rural villages can access a new teaching tool.
North Yorkshire County Council has unveiled two mobile classrooms to give computer training.
The Skills Mobile service was launched this week and provides computers, broadband and specialist software.
Learners will be able to gain qualifications on computer basics, emails, using eBay, and Microsoft training.
Councillor Helen Swiers said: "If you live in a remote village with an infrequent or daytime-only bus service, it might not be practical to get to a local adult learning centre.
"Broadband and the internet have the potential to become a major weapon in the battle against rural isolation by connecting communities across the globe.
"No one should have to miss out on opportunities because they live in the countryside."
The county council's adult learning service provides 2,800 courses in 250 centres across the area.
