COMMUNITY groups and local businesses are invited to get creative and take part in a Christmas tree festival.
The free event, organised by Approach Too, is also open to organisations, schools, nurseries and individuals in Ferryhill and Chilton who would like to create a Christmas tree to be displayed at Ferryhill Methodist Chapel.
Glenys Newby of Approach Too said: “Trees can be real, artificial or any other material people wish to use and each tree must come with its own sign showing the name of the group, business or individual who have created it.
“They do not have to be traditional and should showcase what your group is about.
“This is a free event that will promote your business or group and you could even raffle your tree to raise money for your group or donate to a charity.”
Christmas trees can be dropped off at Ferryhill Village Methodist Chapel at 4pm on Wednesday, November 22 and all must be ready for display to the public before a vote for the favourite is held.
