AN elderly pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being hit by a lorry on a busy North Yorkshire road.
The crash, which took place on the A684 road in Northallerton on Friday, October 20, saw a man in his 70s injured near the Asda store, opposite Marks and Spencer, on Brompton Road at around 10.40am.
The road was closed for nearly four hours while police carried out an investigation.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said the man was taken to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, with serious but not believed to be life threatening injuries.
