A MAN has been arrested and charged after four businesses had their windows smashed in Crook last week.

The businesses affected were: Betfred in Hope Street, which was targeted on Thursday, and Robinsons in the Royal Corner, Boots in North Terrace and Amis Pizzeria and Kebab Kitchen in Hope Street, which were all targeted on Sunday night.

Police have confirmed a local man has been arrested and charged in relation to the damage.

The incidents are not connected to a string of shop window breakages in Crook that occurred in last month.
