BUBBLES will be blowing in a performance art presenttion in the grounds of a medieval manor house this weekend.

As part of the annual Art in the Garden summer event at Crook Hall, in Durham City, performance artist Dr Tutti will be spreading the word on the finer points of blowing bubbles.

It will be a regular Sunday feature in the four-acre walled gardens at the hall, off Sidegate, half-a-mile from the city centre, during the coming few weeks.

Anyone wishing to take part should be at the moat pool by 3pm.

Sunday also sees the launch for this year's Children's Art Trail, with clues hidden around the artworks.

Children taking part will be challenged to decipher the secret code and win a prize.

There is also an opportunity for children to go to Crook Hall and "make a mess" in a school holiday event called Desperate for Colours, starting on Thursday.

Another performance artist, Molly Soleil, will encourage visitors to create art works, using fruit from the gardens.

This event will be repeated every other Thursday, on August 9 and 23, between 2pm and 4pm.

Further information on the events is available on 0191-384-8028.
