THE seventh Barnard Castle Rotary Club Am Am golf competition attracted a record number of entrants earlier this month.
At the town's course, and after a long spell of unsettled weather, 176 golfers competed for £1,000 of prizes in glorious sunshine.
Last year's winners, Arthur Dye and his Wetherby firemen colleagues, were triumphant again.
Prizes were given out for nearest the pin and the longest drive.
More than £1,700 was raised on the day for various Rotary charities.
