WEIRD and wonderful creatures, Victorian games, World War One stories and family bike rides are on offer during half term at the Head of Steam – Darlington Railway Museum.

The museum is opening its doors all week during half term, with Jays Animal Encounters on Monday, October 23, the History Bloke, Richard Stephenson on Wednesday 25 and the WW1 stories on Friday 27.

Visitors can join in autumn craft sessions from 1-3pm each weekday during half term and 11am-3.30pm on Saturday and Sunday 28 and 29.

Other events s will include a special family cycle ride and a railway-themed walk, which both stop at Head of Steam and each day there will be different fun events.
