FOLLOWING the release of new record No Rain, No Rose, American singer-songwriter John Craigie is to play in Durham next week as part of his UK tour.
The Portland-based musician will perform at the Old Cinema Laundrette on Saturday, October 7, at 7pm.
Renowned for his engaging live shows, Craigie carries on the legacy of classic singer-songwriters, while blazing a trail of his own.
Craigie’s fifth studio album No Rain, No Rose, boasts two collaborations with Gregory Alan Isakov - Highway Blood and I Am California, the latter has quickly racked up 200,000 streams on Spotify.
The album is inspired by the fold torch bearers of the sixties and seventies, with Craigie striving for the quality of the informal recording style of the era.
While touring solo, as well as with the likes of Jack Johnson, Todd Snider, Shook Twins, Nicki Bluhm, and ALO, Craigie has braced the stage at festivals, sold out venues, intimate house concerts, centre camp at Burning Man and even Gregory Alan Isakov’s farm.
Tickets, priced £13 plus a £1.30 booking fee, are available now, with links to purchase tickets for the various dates available via Craigie’s website johncraigiemusic.com
