A TEENAGER was rushed to hospital after lacerating his leg in a motorbike accident.
The incident occurred in the Coundon area, near Bishop Auckland, yesterday afternoon and the Great North Air Ambulance was called to the scene at 1.40pm.
A spokesperson for the charity said: “We were called to assist the North East Ambulance Service with a teenager who had sustained a leg injury from a motorbike accident. He was assessed by the paramedic and doctor team before being transported by land to the University Hospital of North Durham.”
The spokesperson described the injury as a leg laceration and said it was non-life threatening.
A Durham Police spokesperson said there were no reports of any road accidents on highways in the Coundon area at the time.
