A CABARET style show is being put on to celebrate 80 years of history at a community centre in Durham.
Alington House, in North Bailey, has been trawling through its history this year as part a Big Lottery project.
Alington Follies, written by Ken Reay and Val McGregor, is being put on by the Canny Craic Theatre and will feature skits and songs from the last eight decades at the centre, which started life as the Durham City Girl’s Club.
The show, which is an hour long, is one of three events planning to celebrate the project.
There will be three performances on Thursday, September 7 at 11am, 2pm and 7pm.
Entrance is free and places can be booked by calling 0191 3864088.
