MOTORISTS travelling up North Road in Darlington have faced long delays due to roadworks in the Harrowgate Hill area of the town.
Darlington Borough Council said: "We're aware that there has been serious congestion on and around North Road.
"This is due to third party contractors installing an electrical cable. We know the problems this has created today and we'll be seeking a satisfactory solution from the contractor."
