A MAN was kicked to the ground and stabbed when he was attacked by two men.
The 45-year-old was assaulted at around 10pm on Tuesday, August 15 on Lancaster Way in Thornaby.
The victim was approached by two men, who set upon him, causing him to fall to the ground. He then sustained kicks and blows to his body and a stab wound to his abdomen.
He was treated at the University Hospital of North Tees before being discharged.
The first suspect is described as a white man, aged in his early 20s 5ft 10ins tall, of skinny build, wearing a dark coloured tracksuit, with the bottoms tucked into red socks. His face was covered with a scarf.
The second suspect is described as white man, aged in his early 20s, 5ft 10ins tall, of skinny build, wearing black tracksuit bottoms and a grey hooded top.
