THREE young children have been rescued by firefighters after they got stuck up a tree this afternoon.
Firefighters attended Honister Place in Newton Aycliffe shortly after 4pm following reports of youngsters, including a five-year-old, getting into difficulty while climbing a tree.
The crew used a 10.5 metre ladder to rescue the stranded children.
A spokesperson for County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the children were uninjured during the incident.
