VOLUNTEER lifeboat crew from the region will be appearing in BBC show Saving Lives at Sea.
Members of Redcar RNLI will be amongst the heroes starring on the programme on BBC 2 next week.
The show tells the story of the volunteer lifeboat crews and lifeguards of the RNLI who rescue thousands of people and save hundreds of lives around our coastline and on the River Thames every year.
A BBC spokesman said: "Using footage filmed with lifeboat crews and lifeguards carrying cameras, and welcoming film-makers into their everyday lives, the series take us right into the heart of the action, capturing the unpredictable work of the RNLI in never-before-seen detail."
The series, which includes rescue footage, starts on Wednesday, August 16 at 8pm.
