THREE North Yorkshire schools have won recognition for their work in the arts.
Thirsk School and Sixth Form College, Tockwith CE Primary and Roecliffe CE Primary have achieved the Artsmark Gold award in recognition of improved arts provision.
Artsmark is a national award that rewards schools for their commitment to a high level of provision in the arts.
Vale of York Tory MP Anne McIntosh said: "I am especially impressed to note that all three of the schools gained the Artsmark Gold award specifically, which is a step up from simply being awarded the standard level award."
