A lost property office - police have recovered a snake near York
AN unusual item of lost and found has been recovered by police.
Officers in North Yorkshire tweeted they had found a snake and were appealing for its owner to come forward.
"Folks, if you have lost a snake in Haxby, York please call 101 and quote reference 0315 of 31st July, we may have found it for you," the North Yorkshire Police control room tweeted.
