TWO people were taken to hospital after a car flipped over and ended up on its side.
The accident happened at about 9.30pm yesterday on Framwellgate Peth in Durham, leading from the city centre up to County Hall.
A white Vauxhall Insignia was the only vehicle involved.
Police said damage had been caused to the signage on a traffic island. -
A spokeswoman from the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) said two ambulances were sent to the scene following calls, which were made at about 9.30pm.
She said two patients were taken to the University Hospital of North Durham but could not confirm their injuries.
A police spokesman said the injuries were not thought to be serious.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw the incident or the vehicle prior to the crash to call 101 quoting incident number 566 of July 17.
