BUILDING firms are urged to tackle a skills shortage in the industry by helping vulnerable people into work.
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors has called on North companies to provide routes into employment for young people who have experienced homelessness by offering more training-led programmes, adapting working practices and engaging with back-to work schemes for those facing barriers.
RICS fears the UK will not have enough talent to fill 190,000 new construction posts that could be created next year.
