A GROUP of colleagues are putting their best feet forward to raise thousands of pounds for charity.
Tammy Shevels, Ian Campbell and Sue Robertson, who work at Argos, in Bishop Auckland, will join colleagues from stores across the region on the Lake District Mighty Hike on Saturday, in aid of McMillan Cancer Support.
The trio have been training and are feeling confident for the 25.1-mile hike from Keswick to Ambleside.
Ms Shevels said: “We have walked about 16 miles in training so we are hoping the atmosphere and the support from other walkers will keep up going on the day. We are all really looking forward to it. It’s nice to give something back to such an important charity.
Macmillan Cancer Support is Argos’ charity of the year and the Bishop Auckland store has already raised more than £4,000.
