THE Darlington community is being invited to join a summer garden party hosted in the grounds of a care home to celebrate an open day for residents.
Ventress Hall, off Trinity Road, Darlington, will open its doors to the families and friends of those living in the facility on Friday, June 16, between 10.30am and 3.30pm.
All other members of the community are also welcome to visit the home as part of the nationwide Care Home Open Day initiative designed to build new relationships for residents.
Judy Wray, home manager at Ventress Hall, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents through lasting relationships with the local community across the generations.
“We cannot wait to open our doors to the community to showcase everything Ventress Hall has to offer and the difference care homes make to residents’ lives and their wellbeing.
“We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of Darlington.”
