A VEGETARIAN cafe is hoping to move to new premises in Durham City.
The Jumping Bean cafe, in Neville Street, is hoping to move to nearby North Road.
A planning application has been submitted to Durham County Council asking to change the use of the former florists in North Road.
Owner James Gardener is hoping to expand the business and says the North Road venue offers more space and will get more passing trade.
Agent Sue Cook said: “The owners are looking to expand and feel that the site on North Road offers more space and a better location, as it benefits from a greater level foot traffic coming into Durham.
“They also believe they will be well placed when re-development of the bus station site has also been completed.”
The cafe has been running for around four years and specialises in vegetarian cakes and snacks.
