A FIRM which provides services to the North-East Ambulance Service (NEAS) has received a positive report from the Care Quality Commission.
Darlington based Emergency Medical Services provides emergency and urgent care and patient transport and is sub-contracted by NEAS and its NHS counterpart in the North-West.
Following an inspection the CQC said all staff prioritised safe, high quality, compassionate care, while feedback from people who used the services was consistently positive.
The CQC said to improve further Emergency Medical Services should ensure sharp bins were signed and dated, while any variances found when auditing medicines should be investigated more thoroughly.
It regulates independent ambulance services, but does not currently rate them.
