THREE teenagers have been arrested after vandals sparked fury by wrecking facilities at a popular beauty spot.
The Woodlands Centre at Saltburn’s Valley Gardens had to be closed on Sunday after yobs smashed up toilets and damaged outbuildings.
In response to an announcement from The Friends of the Valley Saltburn, members of the public offered to fundraise to install CCTV at the site and urged those responsible to come forward.
On Sunday night, Cleveland Police announced they had made a number of arrests.
"A 17 year old boy and two girls, aged 16 and 15 have been arrested following reports on Saturday night of arson and burglary at the Woodland Centre in Saltburn’s Valley Gardens," said a force spokeswoman.
"The three young people have been released from custody with no bail conditions while inquiries continue."
