AN annual charity drive will be held later this month.
The Butterwick Hospice Drive and Dine takes place on Sunday, May 14 to support services provided at the Butterwick Hospice in Bishop Auckland.
The 70-mile route will start at Lanchester Garden Centre, near Durham, head north to Hadrian’s Wall before it ends at the The Vallum Farm Restaurant. The concept is the same as the hospice’s old midsummer drive but with a new name and earlier date. It is not a timed race.
It is open to all interesting vehicles subject to the organiser’s discretion. Registration is at 10am and the oldest car will start first, at 11am.
