A MAN has suffered serious injuries after a crash between a motorbike and a car on a busy Darlington road.
A 42-year-old man sustained serious leg injuries during an incident on North Road at its junction with Charles Street, near Morrison’s supermarket.
The man, from West Cornforth, was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough for treatment following the crash which involved his Kawasaki motorbike at 5.25pm on Sunday, April 2.
A 40year-old woman riding the bike as a pillion passenger was treated at Darlington Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
A Suzuki Alto was also involved in the incident and a Darlington family of four travelling in the vehicle were all unhurt.
The road was closed on Sunday evening while emergency services worked at the scene.
Darlington Police have since appealed for witnesses or any drivers with dashcam footage of the crash to come forward.
