A DAY of action to combat anti-social behaviour has seen a multi-agency operation launched alongside Cleveland Police.
Officers were joined by representatives from Thirteen Group housing group and Stockton Borough Council to visit tenants alleged to be causing disturbances in the Portrack area of Stockton.
Tenants were warned they may be putting their housing contract at risk by committing anti-social offences.
The visits coincided with Cleveland Police’s Operation Sparrow drug raids carried out last week to crackdown on the distribution of drugs on Stockton's streets.
Thirteen Group neighbourhood officers were also available for support and advice regarding home fire safety and estate caretakers performed litter pick-ups and fly-tipping removal.
Bob Cook, leader of Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, said: “The day of action was a great example of how we can work in partnership, not just with landlords and the police, but with our communities, to build stronger relationships and target intervention where it is most needed.”
