VOLUNTEERS for Marie Curie have already collected £5,178 across Richmondshire this month as part of the Daffodil Appeal.
The charity thanks everyone that has helped it reach the milestone, which will provide more than 255 hours of care to terminally ill people and their families.
So far the charity has held street collections in Richmond raising £849.56, Bedale raising £416.91, Hawes raising £342.65, Leyburn £863.19 and Northallerton £603.68.
There have been Tesco and Morrison’s collections across the region.
The next evenT is the Swimathon, taking place from April 7 to 9, at Richmond Swimming Pool and Catterick Leisure Centre. Swimmers can challenge themselves to the 5km, 2.5km or 1.5km individual or team 5km or 1.5km events. Visit www.swimathon.org.uk.
