DOZENS of youngsters enjoyed a chocolate and snowball themed night at St John’s Church, Shildon, as part of a diocesan wide ‘talking Jesus’ weekend.
More than 80 young people took part in the event which included a chocolate fountain, chocolate making and a paper ‘snowball’ fight.
Geoff Pearson, the Bishop of Lancaster, also attended and took on the role of Chris Tarrant in a game of ‘who wants to be a millionaire’.
Rev David Tomlinson said: “The evening drew to a close with the Rev Hannah Boyd sharing her faith story with the young people, followed by a presentation of prizes.
“The event was designed to help others glimpse something of the relevance of faith in a way that can make a real difference to people’s lives and experiences.
“With dozens of smiling children afterwards, it certainly did that.”
