A FLOWER club is planning to grow funds for a hospice.
Darlington Flower Club stages its annual Spring Fling charity event at Headlam Hall from 11am on Wednesday, March 22.
The event has been held for the past 15 years, with the proceeds going to various worthy causes, and this year’s chosen charity is St Teresa’s Hospice.
The day, exclusively for ladies, comprises bucks fizz on arrival, coffee and biscuits, lunch and a surprise speaker.
Vice chairman Phyl Hodgson said: “It’s a lovely, relaxing day out for ladies and the chance to raise money for a really important local charity so please come along.”
The flower club meets on the first Wednesday every month at St Cuthbert’s Church Centre, Market Place, Darlington.
