A MUCH-loved television star is on his way to Hartlepool this Easter for a special ‘Evening With’ show featuring selected guests.
The Ricky Tomlinson evening, which is being staged by BBC Tees radio presenter Paul ‘Goffy’ Gough, will feature stories from his award winning career that has seen him play major roles in The Royle Family as Jim Royle, on the big screen as Mike Bassett England Manager and in Brookside playing ‘Bobby Grant’, and countless others.
He said: “I’m really looking forward to meeting she people of Hartlepool next month. I love to get out on the road and spend time with people that have been with me through my long and eventful career. I am so lucky that people have supported me on the telly, film and on my live comedy shows around the country across many years.
"It will be good to be on stage at the local club - I love the social clubs and know how important they are to the local community."
Radio host Paul Gough added: "Ricky is fantastic on stage and always great value. He has touched so many emotions with his roles, and people really love to spend time with him. Once he gets a microphone in his hand he finds it difficult to put it down, so people attending this event, will enjoy a memorable night packed with great memories and fun."
Tickets for the event at the Belle Vue Social Club, Hartlepool on Thursday April 13, cost £15 and are available by calling 07990-588424.
