A GIG will be held in memory of popular Darlington man Tom Whitton this April.
The well-known musician and tireless fundraiser – known for his ‘heart of gold’ and loud shirts - died last year from a brain tumour.
Mr Whitton spent his last months recording an album with local musicians and organising a charity event.
He also devoted time to fundraising in memory of his close friend, the late councillor Joe Lyonette.
Since his death, the 44-year-old’s friends and family have organised events to raise money for good causes in his honour.
The next event will see Fizzyfish perform at The Forum on Saturday, April 8 in “an evening of live music celebrating the life and shirts of Tom Whitton”.
Tickets are £7 and can be booked by calling 01325 363135. All proceeds will go to the Brain Tumour Charity.
