A FIREWORKS display has raised around £20,000 for hospice care in Durham.
St Cuthbert Hospice held its second Bonfire Night event at Framwellgate School Durham on Saturday, November 5.
More than 3,500 people attended the display, raising £20,000 for the charity, making it its biggest fundraiser to date.
Event organiser Jade McArdle said: “It was a fantastic night. It was lovely to see so many people dancing along to the music as the fireworks went off overhead.
“We would like to thank everyone who supported the event, especially Framwellgate School for providing a fantastic venue, Impact Pyrotechnics for staging a night to remember, Smooth Radio for helping to get people dancing and our volunteers for helping behind the scenes.”
There are plans for the event to return next year.
