A PHOTOGRAPHER took a step back in time to scoop this month’s top prize in The Northern Echo’s Winning Smile competition.
The competition invited readers to submit a smiley picture to be in with the chance of winning monthly prizes of a £50 Marks and Spencer voucher or £25 iTunes voucher, as well as the opportunity to win an overall prize of a digital SLR camera.
Andrew Fletcher’s picture of Margaret joining in the fun at a 1940s weekend in Leyburn, North Yorkshire, was chosen by judges as the winner of the adult category.
Mr Fletcher said: “It was just an in the moment, grab shot.” He wins £50 Marks & Spencer vouchers.
Junior winner: Naomi Campbell's picture of her son, Hayden
The winner of the junior category is Naomi Campbell, who sent in a picture of her son, Hayden, sharing breakfast with his Teddy bear while holidaying in Spain.
The competition has now closed. The winners for October will be announced soon.
