Dickins in Darlington exhibition, Crown Street Library, Darlington, runs until December 23
Free exhibition will include images from the Charles Dickens Museum, a reconstruction of Dicken's famous reading desk, footage from an early Dickens film as well as the display of an amazing dolls' house based on Dickens' home in Doughty Street, London, which is now the Charles Dickens Museum. 

Twisterella Festival, in Middlesbrough, on Saturday 
THE annual Twisterella Festival returns to Teesside at the weekend featuring a cast of regional and local, up-and-coming acts from Lisbon to the Avalanche Party, Alistair James to Samantha Durnan, Shoot the Poet, Youth Club and Trash. 
Middlesbrough’s multi-venue music festival portrays some 40-plus acts on a day full of the brightest and best breaking bands and acts. 
Twisterella Festival utilises established music venues such as Teesside University Students’ Union, The Townhouse, The Westgarth Social Club and TSOne, along with pop-up sessions in Sticky Fingers, Alchemy & Co and The Twisted Lip.
