A HOUSE has been badly damaged in a fire in Chester-le-Street.
Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue were called to the premises on Derwentwater Avenue on Saturday morning.

The incident happened just before 9am.
Two fire engines attended.
No one was injured.
A spokesman for the service tweeted: "Fire and rescue service have attended a two-storey semi-detached house in Chester-le-Street. The ground floor kitchen and garage were severely damaged by fire."
