A SWING band will be joined by a gypsy jazz star for a performance in County Durham next month (October).
Hard swinging gypsy jazz outfit Swing Manouche will team up on stage with violinist Daniel John Martin at Bishop Auckland Town Hall on Wednesday, October 5.
Described as one of the most talented and sought after violinists of his generation, Parisian gypsy jazz player and host of Paris jazz club Aux Petits Joueurs, Mr Martin makes a return visit as part of a short English tour.
Taking their name from the French translation for gypsy swing, Swing Manouche perform both light-hearted and melancholy music.
Mr Martin will play alongside Mick Shoulder and Giles Strong on guitars and Paul Susans on double bass.
The concert will start at 7.30pm and tickets are prices at £10 and £8 for concessions.
