A ROAD accident caused traffic disruption for football fans travelling to Middlesbrough today.
The accident involved an Arriva service bus and a white Hyundai saloon car on the town's Borough Road.
The road was closed from Abingdon Road, causing issues for road users, including fans travelling to this afternoon's Premiership game between Middlesbrough and Stoke City at the Riverside.
It is believed all of the bus passengers alighted safely.
Police investigated the accident and then reopened the road later in the afternoon.
