EMERGENCY services spent seven hours dealing with a man on a rooftop in Stockton on Saturday.
The man climbed onto the roof of a home on Tithebarn Road in the Hardwick area of town shortly after 3am.
Police and firefighters were called and neighbours were woken up and went outside to watch the scene, according to online reports.
Eventually the man came down peacefully at about 10am.
No-one was available for comment from Cleveland Police but a Fire Brigade spokesman confirmed they provided an hydraulic platform and had been on standby.
